After writing this column for six years now; I have come to the realization that I have an eclectic, eccentric, out-ofthe-box thinking, and a down right weird following. In the past few weeks I have gotten many emails with the subject line reading “Question”, “Just Wondering” or “A Quick Question” So I think it’s that time again that I share a few of those questions along with my reply. And some are just too funny not to share.
Question #1: I know you wouldn’t be a bird, but if you could be an animal what would you be?
Answer: Wow, Um… I guess I would be a chimpanzee. I have always loved chimpanzee, monkeys, and orangutans. I have been known to spend some serious time watching them at the zoo. You get to swing from vines, sleep in treetops, and eat the freshest fruit. What’s not to love?
Question #2: What TV show do you have to watch?
Answer: As I’m writing this I realize that I might watch way too much TV. But I really enjoy Bones, Glee, New Girl, Revenge, True Blood, Sherlock (BBC Version), The Office, Duck Dynasty, Robot Chicken, Revolution, Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy. Many of them I am at least a season behind.
Question #3: Which parents do you resemble the most in behavior/looks?
Answer: I look more like my mom, but I have more of my dad’s personality. We both really don’t like getting our hands dirty, love to eat radishes, and we read the newspaper a certain way.We also have the same laugh and I was just told recently that I walk just like my dad. The reason for the last one could be that all those years of trying to keep up with his long legs.
Question #4: What is your favorite fruit?
Answer: Well, a ripe one. No, for real I love raspberries, strawberries, peaches, bananas, oranges, and pears. I’m not a huge fan of cherries and blueberries and I will eat apples if I’m able to cut it, Caramel apples are still my favorite.
Question #5: When you have 30 minutes of free time how do you fill it?
Answer: I read a book most of the time. I do most of my reading in the passenger seat when I get the chance. Also I have to read every night before going to bed. It something that I grew up doing and now it’s just a habit for me. Runner up would be doing laundry it seems like you can never keep up with it.
Question #6: Are you a good dancer?
Answer: That would be a no, I have two left feet, and I’m also not the most graceful person in the world. My dream of being on the show “Dancing with the Stars” is now shattered.
Question #7: What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
Answer: Umm…there are so many but I think my biggest is when people don’t pick up there feet when walking. That noise it makes is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Question #8: What is the top 10 most played songs on your iPod, iPhone etc…?
Answer: This is constantly changing; I love music and enjoy pretty much all styles of music. Expect for techno, never could get into that. Drum roll please… 1. Kandi – One Eskimo. 2. I Will Wait – Mumford & Sons 3. Anchor – Mindy Gledhill 4. Falling Slowly – Soundtrack Once 5. All My Days – Alexi Murdoch 6. At Last – Atta James 7. Daughter – Loudon Wainwright III 8. Lego House – Ed Sheeran 9. Set Fire To The Rain – Adele and tied for 10th place is Ho Hey – The Lumineers, Don’t Stop Believin – Journey,We are Young, Carry On and Some Nights – Fun.
Question #9: What is your favorite color?
Answer: I like them all, I don’t really have one, but when I was a kid I really liked purple. But I do know that Home Depot orange doesn’t look good on me.
Question #10: What is your middle name?
Answer: I’m not a big fan of my middle name and the only people that know it are family members and I hope it stays that way. It does start with a T and that all you are going to get from me.
I would like to thank everybody for reading my column and for giving me feedback. It’s always nice to hear from readers good or bad. So to my “fans” out in the world thank you for reading my column and answering a question that I ask myself a lot “Does anybody read it?”
